Tell you some about zinc die casting molding

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

Zinc - The easiest alloy to cast, it offers high ductility, high impact strength and is easily plated. Zinc is economical to cast and has a low melting point and promotes long die life. Zinc die casting molding is popular among molds. A zinc alloy die casting molding made from SPARK #3 or #5, or a zinc-aluminum alloy casting made from ZA-8 is made in the same general manner as an aluminum die casting. Molten metal is injected into a casting die under high pressure and at a controlled temperature. The metal is rapidly cooled until the solidified part is sufficiently rigid to permit ejection from the mold. The mold has two sections, the "cover" half and the "ejector" half. The die may also have additional move able segments called slides or pulls, which are used to create features such as undercuts or holes, which [...]

About high pressure die casting…

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

SPARK, a company which special on die casting molding, will share you with some tech about high pressure die casting. Die Casting Molding High Pressure Die Casting - In this process, the liquid metal is injected at high speed and high pressure into a metal mould. A schematic view of high pressure die casting is given in below Figure. This equipment consists of two vertical platens on which bolsters are located which hold the die halves. One platen is fixed and the other can move so that the die can be opened and closed. A measured amount of metal is poured into the shot sleeve and then introduced into the mould cavity using a hydraulically-driven piston. Once the metal has solidified, the die is opened and the casting removed. In this process, special precautions must be taken to avoid too many gas inclusions [...]

Purpose of Making Prototype

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

Prototype Making, Plastic Mold Making During the period of product design, the most thing we want to do after design drawings finished is to see product we designed what it will be when make into physical thing, and check whether its appearance match with our design, and weather its structure reasonable or not, etc.. We are special for plastic mold making, prototype making and other mold making. So prototype being made for that purpose.  Popularly Speaking, prototype making is, one or several samples being made as per appearance or structure drawings on the condition that without opening mold, which use for appearance reference or structure reasonableness checking functional sample.   To inspect appearance design. Prototype not only visible but also touchable, it can reflect designer idea physically, direct -view, and avoid shortage of “ good look for drawing but ugly for object”. So [...]

What is medical plastic injection molding?

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

SPARK' injection molding services can be used to create plastic parts and components for medical devices. We can create any number of specialized medical plastic parts molding and plastic injection molding, either as subassemblies as components for more complex instruments. Medical Plastic Parts Molding Medical Grade Plastic Resins SPARK has a number of different materials available for our medical plastic injection molding processes, making it possible for us to find the ideal material for your project's needs. We use engineering resins such as polycarbonate, PEEK, and Ultem, which offer excellent mechanical properties and high tensile and temperature load ratings to resist breakage and deformation due to heat. We also use a number of specialized polymers with resins or fillers built in, such as fiberglass carbon fiber, talc, or custom color compounds, to give the completed product mechanical advantages or other unique properties. Our expertise with [...]

6 Common Injection Molding Defects

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

When working with any manufacturing process, a number of defects unique to that process commonly occur. This is true across many processes and industries, including plastic injection molding and high volume injection molding.                          Plastic Injection Molding Delamination Delamination, when a finished part has a layer of flaky material at the surface, hurts both aesthetic of your part and its strength. Caused by moisture contamination of the resin pellets or by other contamination of the melted resin with a dissimilar resin, or by release agents in the mold, delamination is the result of the resin being prevented from bonding. Discoloration Discoloration is simply when a finished part is a color different than intended                       Plastic Injection Molding Burn Marks Burn [...]

Export stack mold to America

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

We export stack mold to America. Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the 15th day of the August of the lunar calendar. It is a time for family members and loved ones to congregated and enjoy the full-moon. An old sayings “Things That Go Together”, after the festival, we had sent stack injection mold to our American customers. Stack Mold, Stack Injection Mold   Speaking of stack injection mold, I have to tell you the application about it.       The application of hot runner stack mold will spare the labor and equipment, raise the efficiency and stabilize the quality of products,The mould had proved to be reasonable in structure, reliable in operation, coherence in dimension, could double the efficiency, and the cost of the mould could be reduced by 30%.   Owing to the fine application, stack mold always attract many customer’s [...]

How to Design a Die Casting Mold?

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

Die casting is a technique for mass-producing metal products and components. Die Casting Mold design is one of the most important steps in the process because the shape and attributes of the mold will directly affect the final product. The die casting procedure forces molten metal into molds using high pressure and it requires a mold with exact specifications to achieve the task. The Importance of Die Casting Mold Design Die Casting Mold Die Casting Mold design affects the shape, configuration, quality, and uniformity of a product created through the die casting procedure. Improper specifications can result in tool or material corrosion, as well as inferior product quality, while an effective design can improve efficiency and production time. There are a number of mold design factors to consider when deciding on the appropriate specifications for a project. Some of these factors include: Bosses [...]

Properties of Choosing Materials for Mold

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

Choosing materials for injection mold making is very critical. If the materials are not excellent enough, workpiece made by mold has poor performance. So, materials used for mold processing should meet the following six properties: 1. Strong tenacity Most of working conditions of molds are very wicked. Some of molds are usually suffering from larger impact load, which results in brittle rupture further. To prevent mold parts from rupturing suddenly during operation, the mold should have higher intensity and tenacity. Tenacity of injection mold mainly depends on carbon contents, grain size and texture of materials. 2. Cold and hot fatigue resistance Some molds are located in a status of being heated and cooled repeatedly, so that surface of cavity is impacted by tensile force, pressure and varying stress, which cause cazing and spalling on surface, increasing friction force, hindering plastic deformation and reducing the dimensional [...]

Silicone Rubber Mold Manufacturing You Should Know

2018-08-23T10:59:42+00:00

Silicone Rubber Mold, with its low compression set, fast cure cycles, great stability and ability to resist extreme temperatures of heat and cold makes it ideally suitable for the production of parts where high quality is a must. Unlike most thermoplastic elastomers (TPRs and TPEs), LSR remains flexible and elastic down to -70o F and retains its properties up to 450o F. In addition to these qualities, the wide range of hardness and colors, silicone elastomers have become the material of choice for an ever increasing amount of applications. Do not have your liquid silicone rubber mold built by a plastic mold maker. Liquid silicone rubber is a totally different mindset. SPARK Mold and Engineering is one of the few companies in the United States offering waste-free liquid silicone rubber molds for over 28 years. Waste-free molds coupled with various types of automation devices, such [...]
